Dr. R. N. Cooper Medical College and General Hospital

The Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College, also known as HBT Medical College, is a public Medical college located in Juhu, Mumbai, India. The hospital was started as a maternity home in 1969, which was upgraded to a general hospital in 1970. Since 1977, it was recognized as a teaching hospital affiliated with KEM Hospital. In 2006, MCGM decided to redevelop it and accordingly, redevelopment work started in 2009.

The new, redeveloped Cooper hospital was inaugurated on November 30, 2013. It is a 636-bed secondary care hospital with all general specialities. Hospital accredited by national board of examinations for training residents for DNB in nine general specialities since 2007. Source: Hospital website
